Three-days Seminar on Genetic Analysis was held

2023.3.10

On March 6-8, 2023, we invited Dr. Mitsuki Kondo, PhD, a researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies, to give a seminar on genetic analysis. Analysis of genetic information is a skill that is useful in various aspects of conservation medicine, such as predicting susceptibility to infectious diseases/environmental pollutants by species and individuals and estimating population diversity.

Six participants from Hokkaido University, the University of Tokyo, and Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University gathered for this seminar, where they learned a wide range of topics from the basics of next-generation sequencers to analysis methods using databases and software through lectures and hands-on practice.
