Dr. Michelo Syakalima, a former MEXT scholar at faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University, received Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2021.

Dr. Michelo Syakalima, who studied at faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University as a MEXT scholar, received Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2021. After his return to Zambia, Dr. Syakalima established a Japan Scholars Association and served as a president. He played a significant role in the consolidation of the amicable relationship between Japan and Zambia. The students from University of Hokkaido are received with his generous hospitality upon our visits to Zambia. May we express warmest congratulations for receiving this special award.
